OUR PASTOR
Our Pastor is Rev Jerry Rewis Jr. He and his wife, Tabatha have one son, Col. The Rewis family originally hails from Adel Georgia. Pastor Jerry is a graduate of Valor Christian College in Columbus Ohio. He and Tabatha worked for World Harvest Church for almost six years during their studies.
Pastor comes to us from serving as Youth and Music Pastor of Trinity Church of God in Savannah Ga. He was blessed to serve in this capacity for nine years. He currently enjoys being a part of the State Music Committee for the South Georgia Churches of God. Pastor Jerry has a heart for people, and urges the cogregation to focus on personal growth and relationship. His desire is to see the emergance of discipled believers whose lifestyle evangelism becomes a catalyst for kingdom building.
Tabatha has worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant for Breakthrough Tevevision, and as a CAM Certified Property Manager in Savannah for the last nine years. Tabatha is a very talented and anointed keyboard player, and enjoys serving alongside her husband in this ministry.
OUR CHURCH
The Bridge Church of God is a member of the Church of God Cleveland TN. We are a Pentecostal, Christian Denomination. With over six million members in over 170 countries, it is one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the world. It's origins can be traced back to 1886 with a small meeting at the Barney Creek Meeting House on the Tennessee/North Carolina border, making it the oldest Pentecostal denomination in the United States.
The Bridge is a congregation that is inviting and welcoming to all people. We acknowledge the weakness of humanity, and the greatness of God's grace toward mankind. As such, we are a sanctuary of imperfect christians reaching out to an imperfect world to direct them to our perfect Savior.
Our worship style is blended, with a contemporary slant. We are a congregation with a "come as you are" methodology. We focus on the familial aspect of congregational reationship. As a family, we do our best to work with each other hand-in-hand to see God's work done. The Bridge is an outreach-minded church, with a vision to reach out to the hurting in our community with the love of Jesus.
